In regards to the Ebola outbreak in West Africa, the Blake School has decided to orchestrate an Ebola Summit to be held at the University of Minnesota in order to help raise awareness about this deadly virus.
We have planned two different panels of speakers for the evening. The first will focus on the impact of Ebola with presentation based personal stories. The second panel will focus on the response to Ebola with various politicians and experts in the field discussing what has been done and what should be done.
Election Day is finally here. Our voices, our votes really matter in these elections, especially in Brooklyn Park and Brooklyn Center. We will never be taken seriously if we sit home and hope that policy makers and elected leaders would care about issues that are important to people of color, especially immigrants and low-income people. Let’s not fool ourselves!
